Basic Helicopter Fire Fighting (NOGEPA 2.9A)

The NOGEPA Basic Helicopter Firefighting course is intended for everyone who is designated to act as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or Helicopter Deck Assistant (HDA) at a mining installation and is required to act during a helicopter incident as stated in their scope of responsibilities. This course is applicable for HLO’s/HDA’s who work at an offshore mining installations without refueling capacity for helicopters. In case the helideck team consists of 2 persons the HLO and HDA, both shall be able to rescue crew and passengers from a burning helicopter.

In the NOGEPA Basic Helicopter Firefighting course participants gain knowledge by practical training in helicopter firefighting and rescue actions.
