In the NOGEPA Leader Firefighting and Rescue Team Offshore leaders of firefighting/ rescue teams are prepared in leading these teams in emergency situations on board of an offshore installation. In this 2-day course they gain skills relevant to perform their role in a safe and effective way. After this training they should be able to: divide tasks in firefighting and rescue team, assess the performance of the team, recognise stress in emergency situations, evaluate the firefighting and rescue plan and availability of the team, and more.
At the RelyOn Nutec Maasvlakte-Rotterdam training centre we have a variety of indoor and outdoor firefighting and rescue training facilities to create real life training scenarios. Our instructors are used to training delegates from all over the world. With their knowledge and expertise, the instructors know how to respond well to the wishes and needs of all delegates and to certify them competent to carry out their tasks in a proper and safe manner.
Persons designated to lead a firefighting and rescue team onboard an offshore mining installation.
- Needs to be in the possession of a valid registration of the ‘Member Firefighting and Rescue team Offshore’ Course (NOGEPA 2.6A or 2.6B) in their Personal Safety Logbook.
- Have at least 1 year experience in an offshore firefighting and rescue team.
Note: Delegates with a valid 2.6A/B certificate, not medically fit for the use of breathing apparatus, may be enrolled into the 2.8A training.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
