Correct manual handling is very important when you have to handle goods many times a day and in a confined space. In the Manual Handling refresher module RelyOn Nutec provides manual handling techniques to minimize the risks and contribute to a safer work environment in the wind industry. Main focus in the refresher training is to practice correct techniques.
The content of the course applies to the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standard for the Manual Handling module as part of the Refresher Basic Safety Training for wind industry.
This BSTR Manual Handling module will improve and refresh delegates’ awareness through e-learning and practical training to encourage positive manual handling behaviour and perform manual handling activities in a safe manner. The main focus of this BSTR is to practice the correct manual handling techniques.
Prior to the practical training at a training centre, you need to complete the e-learning module. You can start the e-learning up to 4 weeks prior to the start date of the practical training and it needs to be completed 48 hours prior to the training at the training centre. To be able to complete the e-learning in time, you can sign up for this blended learning 4 days before the start date of the practical training.
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.
Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.
Delegates must hold a valid and in-date GWO Manual Handling certificate or Refresher certificate.
The online component of the course will provide you with the prerequisite knowledge and awareness required ahead of participation in the onsite practical sessions.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
