GWO Basic Safety, All modules Onshore, Blended

If you are new to the onshore wind industry you need to take safety training to be able to work safely in this industry. The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) approved Basic Safety Training Onshore (Blended Learning) is designed to provide personnel the basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in the wind industry and to meet emergency response training requirements for personnel new to the global wind industry. Blended Learning offers you a combination of e-learning and practical training at a training centre. In the e-learning you familiarise yourself with essential knowledge based content in your own time and at your own pace, ahead of the practical training.

The aim of the BST is to enable participants who will be working in the wind industry to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of First Aid, Working at Height, Manual Handling and Fire Awareness.

The e-learning can be started up to 4 weeks prior to the start date of the practical training and needs to be completed 48 hours prior to the training at the training centre. To be able to complete the e-learning in time, you can sign up for this blended learning 4 days before the start date of the practical training.
