In the 1-day (+ online) module GWO Working at Height knowledge on possible risks, (inspection of) equipment, legislation etc. will be provided as well as all skills required for working and rescue at height. By offering a sound course consisting of both online and practical training RelyOn Nutec is aiming to contribute to a safer work environment for personnel in the wind industry.
The aims of the GWO Working at Height course are to provide the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through online and practical training to use basic PPE and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment in accordance with GWO BST Module Working at Height.
Prior to the practical training at a training centre, you need to complete the e-learning module. You can start the e-learning up to 4 weeks prior to the start date of the practical training and it needs to be completed 48 hours prior to the training at the training centre. To be able to complete the e-learning in time, you can sign up for this blended learning 4 days before the start date of the practical training.
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.
Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.
The online component of the course will provide you with the prerequisite knowledge and awareness required ahead of participation in the onsite practical sessions.
For the practical training:
- Delegates must be demonstrably medically fit and capable of fully participating.
- Delegates may not exceed the weight limit of 124kg due to the weight limitations of the equipment which is used during the training.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
