Course description

In the First Aid GWO refresher module RelyOn Nutec helps participants to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills in a theoretical and practical training. In case of casualties First Aid knowledge of proper procedures, use of available equipment and normal functions of the human body and symptoms of illness or injury is essential. Proper practical exercises are a major part of this course.

The aim of this GWO First Aid refresher module is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training.

Target group

Personnel who works in the wind industry or related fields, and carries out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.

Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.

Prerequisites and validity

To participate in the GWO First Aid refresher module, delegates:

  • Must possess a valid BST or BSTR First Aid certificate.
  • Must be demonstrably medically fit and capable of fully participating.

The certificate is valid for 2 years.
