Course description

In case of casualties First Aid knowledge of proper procedures, use of available equipment and normal functions of the human body and symptoms of illness or injury is essential. In the GWO First Aid module as part of the Basic Safety Training for wind industry RelyOn Nutec will focus on the limited space and access and exit possibilities characteristic for wind turbines. Proper practical exercises are a major part of this course.

The aim of the GWO First Aid module is to administer safe and effective First Aid in the wind turbine industry / WTG environment in accordance with GWO First Aid training through theoretical and practical training.

Target group

Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.

Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.

Prerequisites and validity

Delegates participating in the Basic Safety Training must be demonstrably medically fit and capable of fully participating.

The certificate is valid for 2 years.
