In the 2-day module Working at Heights knowledge on possible risks, (inspection of) equipment, legislation etc. will be provided as well as all skills required for working and rescue at height. By offering a sound course consisting of both theoretical and practical training RelyOn Nutec is aiming to contribute to a safer work environment for personnel in the wind industry.
The aims of the GWO Working at Heights course are to give the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to use basic PPE and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment in accordance with BST Module Working at Heights.
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.
Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.
For the practical training:
- Delegates must be demonstrably medically fit and capable of fully participating.
- Delegates may not exceed the weight limit of 124kg due to the weight limitations of the equipment which is used during the training.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
