Description

As a team member of the Man Over Board Emergency Response Team your duty will be to rescue persons out of the water in the vicinity of the offshore installation. Man Over Board situations can vary from a person who falls overboard, a helicopter ditch or an abandonment situation. The Man Over Board Emergency Response Team can also be requested by the Netherlands Coastguard to assist in a Search And Rescue operation.

The objective of the Basic Man Overboard Coxswain (NOGEPA 2.3A) is to train the delegates in the theory and practice of determining the state of readiness of the MOB boat and launching operations. Taking on board and handling of the MOB boats which are used on board offshore installations and the performance of rescue operations with these boats.

Target group

Everyone who is designated to act as a crew member of a Fast Rescue Craft at an offshore mining installation.

Prerequisites and validity

Delegates need to be in the possession of a valid Offshore Medical Certificate.

The certificate is valid for 2 years.
