Are you a designated Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and is your NOGEPA 1.1 certificate about to expire? Then you need to do the Refresher Helicopter Landing Officer course to remain compliant. In this one day course your knowledge on the day-to-day management of the helideck and the response to a helicopter emergency is refreshed. You will refresh your knowledge and skills relevant to helicopter operations and working on an offshore helideck. This NOGEPA certificate is only accepted in the Dutch continental shelf of the North Sea.
The NOGEPA 1.1b Refresher Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) is intended for persons designated to act as Helicopter Landing Officer at an offshore mining installation.
The delegate shall be in the possession of a valid registration of the:
- Basic or Refresher NOGEPA HLO course 1.1a or b, AND
- Basic or Refresher Course ‘Member Firefighting and Rescue Team’ (NOGEPA 2.6a/b) in case refueling activities take place on the installation.
- In case there is no refueling operation on the installation, the Basic or Refresher Course ‘Firefighting Helicopters’ (2.9a/b) is sufficient
- or an OPITO equivalent certification.
Persons enrolling on this course must be able to show a valid offshore medical certificate prior to participating in practical exercises.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
