In the NOGEPA Leader Firefighting and Rescue Team Offshore refresher course leaders of Firefighting/ Rescue teams refresh their knowledge in leading a firefighting and rescue team in emergency situations on board of an offshore installation. In this specialist calamity training they build on their skills relevant to perform their role in a safe and effective way. The refresher training includes topics like: dividing tasks in firefighting and rescue team, assessing the performance of the team, recognising stress in emergency situations, evaluate the firefighting and rescue plan and availability of the team, and more.
Persons designated to lead a firefighting and rescue team onboard an offshore mining installation.
- Needs to be in the possession of a valid registration of the ‘Leader Firefighting and Rescue team Offshore Course’ (NOGEPA 2.8a) in their Personal Safety Logbook.
Note: Delegates with a valid 2.8a certificate, not medically fit for the use of breathing apparatus, may be enrolled into the 2.8b refresher training.
The certificate is valid for 2 years.
