Course description

The NOGEPA Management of Major Emergencies (MoME) refresher training prepares Offshore Installation Managers, and other members of a crisis management team on offshore platforms, for action during major emergencies. During the training participants will be confronted with incidents that can occur while executing daily activities on an offshore platform. Various realistic scenarios, matched to work processes and procedures, train the participants on how to act and communicate in crisis situations.

The NOGEPA MoME refresher training consists 20% of theory and 80% of control room simulations. The delegate has to attend the full course programme to successfully complete the course. The refresher course could also be integrated in NOGEPA Scenario based training.

  • Offshore Installation Managers (OIM)
  • Persons being part of an Emergency Management Team
  • Persons providing support to an Emergency Management Team

Prerequisites and validity

The delegate is required to have followed the MoME basic course (2.14a), the Formal Assessment (2.15), or a NOGEPA accepted equivalent (like the OPITO MEMIR), within the past 4 years.
The maximum number of delegates on this course is 6.

The certificate is valid for 4 years.
